Sculptural table lamp in glazed ceramic with a cylindrical form and decorative relief pattern consisting of repeated geometric shapes. The lamp features a rustic surface in muted brown and grey tones with subtle metallic undertones. The gently tapered shoulder and detailed relief decoration give the lamp a distinctive 1960s and 70s aesthetic. Manufactured by Italian ceramic maker Bitossi for Swedish lighting company Bergboms. Retains its original label.

Bitossi is an Italian ceramics manufacturer with origins dating back to 1921, established in Montelupo Fiorentino near Florence. The company became internationally recognised for its experimental ceramics featuring distinctive glazes, geometric patterns and decorative surfaces. During the mid-20th century, Bitossi collaborated with several international lighting companies, including Swedish manufacturer Bergboms, founded in 1940. This collaboration combined Italian ceramic craftsmanship with Scandinavian lighting design, resulting in distinctive lamps that are now highly sought after by collectors.
