Decorative low bowl in thick glass featuring a clear, transparent upper section and a striking coral-red base. The bowl has a softly rounded form with a wide, smooth rim and a vibrant colour contrast between the clear and coloured glass. Its simple, sculptural design is characteristic of Scandinavian art glass from the 1970s.

Bio:
Scandinavian art glass during the 1960s and 70s was characterised by experimental forms, bold colours and a growing interest in the sculptural qualities of glass. Glassworks in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland developed new techniques combining clear and coloured glass to create decorative contrasts and optical effects. Art glass from this period combined functionality with a modern artistic expression and is now highly appreciated by collectors of Scandinavian design.
