Bio:
Grethe Meyer (1918–2008) was a Danish architect and designer and a significant figure in Danish industrial design. She graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture in 1947 and established her own studio in 1960. Blue Line was introduced by Royal Copenhagen in 1965 and became one of her best-known designs. Meyer’s work was characterised by simplicity, functionality and carefully considered proportions.
