Bio:
The Lomonosov Porcelain Factory in Leningrad traces its history to 1744, when it was founded as the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory in St. Petersburg. In 1925, the factory was named after the Russian scientist Mikhail Lomonosov. During the Soviet period, the factory became known for an extensive range of porcelain figurines, including naturalistically modelled animal figures with hand-painted details.
