Bio:
The Lomonosov Porcelain Factory in Leningrad traces its history to 1744, when it was founded as the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory in St. Petersburg. In 1925, the factory was named after the Russian scientist Mikhail Lomonosov. During the Soviet period, the factory produced an extensive range of porcelain figurines, including naturalistically modelled animals with hand-painted decoration.
