Antique bureau bookcase, probably made in mahogany and mahogany veneer and dating from the first half of the 20th century. The cabinet has a traditional English-inspired Georgian Revival design, drawing on earlier Georgian furniture.
The upper section features two glazed doors with decorative glazing bars and interior shelves. Below is a fold-down writing flap with small drawers and compartments, together with three wide drawers beneath.
