Bio:
Swedish decorative arts of the 1920s were strongly influenced by Nordic Classicism, internationally known as Swedish Grace, in which historical references were simplified into an elegant and balanced design language. Pewter was widely used for both functional and decorative objects, frequently incorporating fluting, stylised ornament and classically inspired forms. Swedish metalwork from this period remains characteristic of Scandinavian design between the two World Wars.
