Bio:
Swedish modernist landscape painting of the 1960s and 1970s was often characterised by a simplification of natural motifs, with trees, terrain and water transformed into rhythmic areas of colour and strong graphic lines. The muted palette, abstracted forms and decorative treatment of the landscape are characteristic features of Nordic modernism of the period.
