Bio:
Carl Fagerlund (1915–2011) was a Swedish designer and lighting architect who graduated from the Higher Art Industrial School in Stockholm in 1943. He joined Orrefors in 1946, where he created some of the companys most iconic lighting designs, distinguished by their textured glass and brass construction. His lighting installations were commissioned for hotels, churches, embassies and public buildings throughout Scandinavia and abroad, and his work is today regarded as among the finest examples of Swedish mid-century lighting design.
