Bio:
Mats Jonasson (born 1945) is a Swedish glass artist and designer who began his career at Målerås Glassworks in 1959. He is internationally recognised for his nature-inspired works, particularly Nordic and Arctic wildlife rendered as sandblasted and hand-engraved reliefs in solid crystal. His sculptures for Kosta Boda and other Swedish glassworks are admired for their technical excellence and remarkably lifelike portrayal of animals.
