Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala (1915–1985) is regarded as one of the leading figures of twentieth-century Scandinavian design. His collaboration with Rosenthal Studio-Linie produced several iconic porcelain collections, including the Polygon series, where geometric forms meet refined nature-inspired decoration such as the "Dragonfly" pattern. Today these designs are highly sought after by collectors of modern European porcelain.
