Tapio Wirkkala (1915–1985) was one of Finlands most influential designers, celebrated for his work in glass, silver and porcelain. His Polygon series for Rosenthal Studio-Linie, introduced during the 1970s, is distinguished by its faceted geometric forms paired with delicate nature-inspired decoration. Today the series remains highly sought after by collectors of modern European design porcelain.
