Bio:
Johan Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) was a Finnish-Swedish ceramic artist, sculptor and designer. He served as artistic director of Rörstrand from 1931 to 1955 and is regarded as one of the most influential figures in twentieth-century Nordic ceramics. Nylund created numerous iconic stoneware series and became renowned for his elegant forms, innovative glazes and timeless modern design language.
