Bio:
Grethe Meyer (1918–2008) was a Danish architect and designer celebrated for her functional and timeless approach to porcelain, interiors and industrial design. Her work was based on simplicity, usability and balanced proportions. The Blue Line series for Royal Copenhagen was introduced in 1965 and is today regarded as an icon of Danish modernist porcelain design. The series is especially admired for its clean lines and discreet blue decoration along the rim.
