Bio:
Oiva Toikka (1931–2019) was one of Finland’s most significant glass designers and worked closely with Iittala throughout much of his career. He is internationally recognised for his innovative glass designs, including the Kastehelmi series from 1964, where the distinctive dewdrop pattern combines functionality with decorative elegance. Toikka’s works are represented in museums worldwide and are regarded as central to modern Nordic design.
