Chinese porcelain from the 18th century, during the Qing dynasty (1644–1912), was characterised by high technical quality and a wide variety of decoration. Production was centered in Jingdezhen, supplying both export and domestic markets with blue and white underglaze porcelain. These objects reflect the continued development of classical forms and decorative techniques that made Chinese porcelain highly sought after worldwide.
