Decorative compote in glazed ceramic with relief moulded and naturalistic floral decoration and an iridescent glaze to the dish. Executed in majolica with a richly coloured and detailed surface.

Gustavsberg is a Swedish porcelain and faience manufacturer founded in 1825 near Stockholm. The factory became particularly renowned in the late 19th century for its majolica production, characterised by naturalistic forms and richly coloured glazes used in decorative household and ornamental objects. These works are today highly collectible and represent an important part of Scandinavian ceramic history.
