Handmade dish in enamel on copper with a deep blue glaze and golden iridescent centre, characteristic of Scandinavian enamel work from the period. Marked on the base.

Origin: Norway.
Designer: David Andersen.
Material: Enamel on copper.
Dimensions: D. 21 cm.
Period: 1960/70s.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
David Andersen (1843–1901) was a Norwegian goldsmith and founder of the David-Andersen company, established in Oslo in 1876. The firm became renowned for its high level of craftsmanship in silver and enamel, and throughout the 20th century developed into a leading figure in Norwegian design, particularly noted for its modern enamel work.
