Circular porcelain dish decorated with detailed fish and underwater motifs in brown and golden tones on a white ground. Model 1078/5404, dated 1965, first factory quality.

Origin: Denmark.
Designer: Nils Thorsson.

Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
Nils Thorsson (1898–1975) was a Swedish-Danish ceramicist and designer who worked for Royal Copenhagen and Aluminia. He became artistic director in 1949 and is known for refined decorative series such as Baca and Tenera. His work combines traditional craftsmanship with a modern design language and is considered central to mid-20th-century Danish ceramics.
