Hand-thrown cylindrical stoneware jar with vertically fluted body and a light matte glaze. Fitted with a sterling silver lid and spoon from Georg Jensen, in the classic Acanthus pattern, produced in the 1940s.

Arne Bang was a Danish ceramicist known for his hand-thrown stoneware works characterised by organic forms and subdued glazes. His production includes both functional objects and sculptural works, often made in small series or as unique pieces. He is regarded as an important figure in 20th-century Danish studio ceramics.
Georg Jensen was a Danish silversmith and designer whose workshop was founded in 1904. His work is known for its high level of craftsmanship and organic, often nature-inspired forms, and his designs remain central to the Georg Jensen production today.
