Powerfully modelled bull in dark, matte-glazed stoneware with a compact, stylised form and strong volume. The figure is mounted on an oval wooden base and displays a restrained modernist design characteristic of Rörstrand’s mid-twentieth-century production. First factory quality.

Bio:
Lillemor Petersson (1927–2018) was a Swedish ceramic artist and designer associated with Rörstrand during the 1950s and 1960s. She is known for her expressive animal figures in stoneware and earthenware, characterised by sculptural stylisation and confident material handling. Her work forms part of the Swedish modernist tradition and remains highly collectible today.
