Bio:
Berndt Friberg (1899–1981) was one of Sweden’s most acclaimed ceramicists. He began his career at Gustavsberg at the age of thirteen and later worked closely with Wilhelm Kåge. Friberg became especially known for his perfectly thrown forms and experimental, richly nuanced glazes, often featuring crystalline and hare’s fur effects. His works were produced in small numbers and are today highly sought after within Scandinavian ceramic art.
