Two large mugs with matching saucers in hand-painted underglaze cobalt blue decoration in the classic Blue Fluted Plain pattern. Mug model 090 and saucer model 091. First quality.
Origin: Denmark.

Bio:
Blue Fluted Plain is Royal Copenhagen’s oldest pattern, first introduced in 1775. The decoration is painted freehand in cobalt under the glaze, creating subtle variations that reflect the individual painter’s hand. Around the turn of the 21st century, the range was expanded with larger, everyday forms such as mugs, combining historical continuity with modern functionality.
