Meissen, Vine Leaves, set of 4 salad plates.
Round porcelain plates decorated with a green vine leaf border. Some examples are first quality, others cancelled with four incised lines. Marked with the Meissen crossed swords.

Origin: Germany.
Material: Porcelain.
Dimensions: D. 18 cm.
Period: c. 1930s.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
Founded in 1710, Meissen is the oldest porcelain manufactory in Europe. Renowned for its hard-paste porcelain, hand-painted decoration and the iconic crossed swords mark, Meissen maintained a strong commitment to classical and naturalistic decoration during the 1920s and 1930s. Botanical motifs such as vine leaves were part of the manufactory’s enduring repertoire, reflecting both technical mastery and continuity of tradition.
