Founded in 1710, Meissen is the oldest porcelain manufactory in Europe. Renowned for its hard-paste porcelain, hand-painted decoration and the iconic crossed swords mark, Meissen maintained a strong commitment to classical and naturalistic decoration during the 1920s and 1930s.
