Bio:
The Blue Onion pattern was introduced by Meissen in 1739 and was inspired by East Asian porcelain, featuring stylised fruit and floral elements rendered in underglaze blue. The design became one of the manufactory’s most enduring tableware patterns. Around 1900, Meissen continued producing Blue Onion services of consistently high quality, characterised by crisp decoration, durable glazing, and adherence to traditional forms rooted in centuries of porcelain craftsmanship.
