Carl-Harry Stålhane for Rörstrand, “Orient” table lamp.
Ceramic table lamp in stoneware with hand-decorated relief in brown and black tones on a white ground. Square lamp base with graphic, Oriental-inspired ornamentation. Original Danish design Le Klint pleated shade. A strong example of Swedish modernism from the 1960s.

Bio:
Carl-Harry Stålhane was one of Rörstrand’s most influential artists in the mid-20th century, renowned for his architectural forms and refined use of glazes. His ceramic works from the 1950s and 60s reflect the shift from functionalism toward a more expressive modernist language and are today considered key examples of Swedish studio ceramics.
