Bio:
Josef Riedel and the Polaun works are among the most respected producers of Czech art glass from the first half of the 20th century. During the 1930s and 40s, the Art Deco style was expressed through bold forms and rich colours, often executed in heavy, mouth-blown glass. Trumpet vases such as this combine functionality with sculptural presence and are highly sought after by collectors today.
