Blue Fluted Plain is Royal Copenhagen’s oldest pattern, introduced in 1775. The ribbed form combined with hand-painted underglaze decoration has for generations been a hallmark of Danish porcelain craftsmanship. Sauce boats of this type formed a natural part of the formal dining table around 1900 and exemplify the service’s functional elegance and timeless character.
