Bio:
Blue Fluted Plain was introduced in 1775 and is Royal Copenhagen’s oldest and most traditional pattern. Inspired by Chinese blue-and-white porcelain, the decoration is characterised by its disciplined composition, rhythmic brushwork and finely executed hand-painted details. Tureens have traditionally played a central role in formal table settings and exemplify the balance between functionality and classic design in the factory’s mid-20th-century production.
