Bio:
Germund Paaer (1881–1950) was one of the key designers shaping the early identity of Kalevala Koru. He developed many of the company’s iconic motifs drawn from Finnish mythology and national romanticism, and his work ranges from jewellery to decorative utilitarian objects. Paaer’s designs are today regarded as classics of Finnish applied arts.
