Bio:
Crystalline glazes are a highly specialised technique requiring precise kiln control to develop the star-shaped crystals within the glaze layer. In Germany, the technique saw a renewed artistic interest during the 1970s and 80s, with many workshops exploring vivid colour combinations and sculptural surfaces. These pieces are valued today for their uniqueness, technical complexity and decorative presence.
