Round faience dish with turquoise glaze and inlaid silver geometric decoration, characteristic of Kåge’s renowned Argenta line.

Origin: Sweden.
Designer: Wilhelm Kåge (1889–1960).
Manufacturer: Gustavsberg.
Material: Faience with silver inlay.

Period: Mid-20th century.
Condition: Very good condition, minor age-related wear.

Bio:
Wilhelm Kåge was one of Gustavsberg’s most influential designers, responsible for several of the company’s most celebrated series, including Argenta, launched in the 1930s. The combination of matte turquoise glaze and silver inlay became an enduring symbol of Swedish Art Deco and functionalist design.
