Hand-painted porcelain “Peacock” set, mid-20th century.
Rectangular tray with four lidded boxes in varying sizes. White porcelain with polychrome floral decoration and a characteristic flowing border in Art Deco / chinoiserie style — commonly referred to as the “Peacock” pattern.

Origin: England, Foley Art China (John Aynsley & Sons).
Material: Porcelain.
Tray: approx. 19 × 27 cm.
Largest box: approx. H. 8 cm, D. 7 cm.
Period: Mid-20th century.
Condition: Very good condition with light signs of use, no chips or cracks.

Bio:
Foley Art China was produced by John Aynsley & Sons in Staffordshire and is renowned for its hand-painted decorative porcelain series, often drawing from oriental and floral inspirations. These sets were especially popular as tea and dressing-table sets for the European and American export markets.
