Bio:
Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) was a Swedish ceramicist and designer, best known for his work for Rörstrand from 1931 to 1955. He introduced the famous “hare’s fur” glazes and created a wide range of sculptural vases, bowls, and functional ceramics in a style that combined the simple lines of modernism with traditional craftsmanship. Nylund’s works for Rörstrand are today considered highlights of Scandinavian studio ceramics.
