A small set consisting of three classic pewter candlesticks, including one by Just Andersen from the 1930s–40s and two by Selangor Pewter, Malaysia, after 1969. The combination illustrates both Danish Art Deco design and modern Malaysian pewter craftsmanship.
Bio:
Just Andersen (1884–1943) was a Danish sculptor and designer, educated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. He became renowned for his works in pewter, bronze, and diskometal.
Selangor Pewter was founded in 1969 in Malaysia and has since grown into an international producer of quality pewter items, especially giftware and functional objects.
