Biography:
Kjell Hobjer became known for his characteristic paintings of geometric, human-like figures, often referred to as "gubbar." These works often expressed human vulnerability and contained criticism of contemporary society.
He also created public artworks, including murals in Kungsmarken, Karlskrona, and the sculpture "Gubbkvinna" in Ronneby.
Hobjer began painting at the age of nine and made his debut as early as fourteen. He primarily worked as a painter but also experimented with materials such as glass and metal.
