Hjorth ceramic terrine with lid, 21st century Bornholm, Denmark. Light gray and brown glaze. Lid decorated with relief and handle shaped like a fence. Signed: Hjorth Denmark. H: 16 cm. Diameter: 29 cm.
The terrine has been a prize called the Kjørmesprisen, which is an old candlemass tradition in smaller local communities and awarded by the local savings banks. The purpose of the award is to preserve things and traditions that our local community would be poorer without.
