Beautifully painted egg bowl from the late 1800s in biscuit.
The bowl is with a chicken on the lid, standing and studying its own egg that should to be used for salt.
Under the lid there is room for two eggs.
The bowl is in good condition, with a few minor chips on the bottom
The lower part is signed 17 and the upper part 39, so the two parts are unfortunately brought together at some point, however, they fit well together in both size and shape.
It originate from a Danish private collection built in the 1960s.
