Dear child have many names, but this glass is called Paul and not Poul or Povl.
Originally, green glasses were for sweet dessert wines, which could have a slight sediment in the wine that the color could hide. Therefore the glasses are smaller than the ordinary white wine glasses.
Paul is an import service from Val Saint Lambert, where the glass is called Paul Premier, named after a Belgian king.
The glass has been in production at Holmegaard during the period 1917 to 1930, when the glass is taken out of production.
It is a mouth-blown crystal glass with an air-filled stem. The glass is cut with facets up along the stem, and on the cuppa itself.
