Figure of Bertelsmann Thorvaldsen's "Switzerløve" carved in wood. Made around 1900 Is in good condition with no damage or repairs. The figure is 11 cm high, 25½ cm long and 9½ cm wide. The dying lion created Bertel Thorvaldsen as a memorial of Lucerne in Switzerland. The monument honors the soldiers in the Swiss guard during the revolution in 1792 in Paris fought and died for the French King Louis XVI.
