Tranquebar, blue the first pieces of this service appeared in 1914, created by the painter Christian Joachim artistic head of the faience factory Aluminia, part of the Royal Copenhagen porcelain factory, now Royal Copenhagen. Faience was Christian Joachim´s life, and the Tranquebar dinner service became one of his best known designs. Its main motif is a tulip framed by a braided pattern. The enthusiasm which greated the service at the beginning of the century has not diminished. Todag it is a classic. Aluminia faience Blue Tranque
