Unusual art nouveau vase from the Bohemia

Price: 750.- DKK per item

Height 18 cm.
Fine old glass vase in marbled glass from the 1930's.
It can be attributed to s Ernst Steinwald & Co from Teplice, outside Prague.

The vase is mouth blown, cut off on the upper edge and then polished so that it appears with a sharp edge, as opposed to drinking glasses that are heated and have a soft edge.

The vase is in so-called onyx glass, a technique developed in the 1880s at one of Bohemia's large glassworks, might be Loetz or Kralik. The vase is blown in deep red and black glass with a clear overlay.

It is in good condition with expected traces of wear. Unfortunately, it has a chip on the edge.
