Lisa Larson designed the Africa series for Gustavsberg in 1964. The series consists of a donkey, tiger, elephant and this lion. The king of the jungle is, as the only one, made in three sizes, of which this is the largest.

The figure is hand-decorated chamotte stoneware, which gives each figurine its own unique expression.
This is very nice dark in the colors.

The figure is in perfect condition with its original sticker from Illums Bolighus on.
