In the early 60s struck the US-born photographer Walter Carl Gluck settled in a houseboat on the Amstel in Amsterdam to start a new phase of his life, the artist Viktor IV. His primary working material was collected drivtømmerdele in which he painted his subjects with oil paint and varnish.

He managed to decorate more than 600 objects, was named American Icons.

From the late '60s unfolded his art itself well through daily records of his thoughts, observations and events on special logbook sheets, which were all stamped and assembled in large logs. It was for a total of approximately 5,000 pages consisting of independent drawings / texts of great visual carat while marked by deep philosophical insight and positive approach to everyday life - all "small" works of art that invites reflection and consideration.

In the early 80s was Viktor IV preoccupied with the concept: Time - and he managed the development of a series of "Contra-Clock-Wise" - watches, challenging our conventional thinking regarding. time. "The Time is always Now" was one of his many strong theses.

Bvlgar which was his latest artist name, drowned during repair work on his houseboat. His funeral was followed by more than 30,000 spectators and supporters one July day in 1986.
