Bio:
Bernard Rooke (born 1938) is a British artist and potter, known for his sculptural ceramic works and distinctive lamp designs.
He studied painting and lithography at the Ipswich School of Art and later began working with ceramics at Goldsmiths College in London.
In 1960 he opened his first workshop in South London and later moved to Swilland in Suffolk, where he developed both artistic and functional works.
His pieces are represented in several museums, including the Victoria & Albert Museum. In recent years, he has mainly focused on painting and printmaking.
