Biography:
Ole Bjørn Krüger was a Danish sculptor and ceramic artist, primarily known for his stoneware and bronze sculptures. Although his main focus was on three-dimensional works, he also created paintings, particularly abstract compositions in oil on board.
Krüger's paintings are often abstract and characterized by an experimental approach to form and color.
His paintings share aesthetic traits with his sculptural work, including an interest in organic forms and a strong sense of materiality. The color palette in his paintings is often muted, featuring earthy tones and subtle contrasts, creating a harmonious and meditative atmosphere.
Krüger participated in several significant exhibitions, including the Artists' Autumn Exhibition in 1967 and 1969, as well as the Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition in 1968. He also held solo exhibitions, including at Galleri Gl. Strand in Copenhagen during the period 1971–76.
