The picture comes from part of the private art collection of the Swedish sculptor and draftsman Anton Wahledov.
Anton Wahledov, born 28 April 1862 in Ramdala, Blekinge county, died 24 June 1923 in Kalmar, was a Swedish ornamental sculptor, draftsman and painter. Wahledow graduated from the Crafts Seminar in Kalmar in 1884 and then worked for a year at Selma Giöbel's studio in Stockholm. He studied at the Technical School in Stockholm 1886-1887 and was from 1888 active with furniture design, wood sculptures and other crafts in his own studio in Kalmar. came to have a great influence on younger art adepts among the students. Wahledov worked in the art nouveau tradition. He participated in the exhibitions of Sweden's general art association in Kalmar and an art exhibition at Kalmar Castle in 1910. He is buried at Södra churchyard in Kalmar.
