Aldo Londi for Bitossi, vase.

Cylindrical stoneware vase with a characteristic turquoise and cobalt blue glaze. Produced by Bitossi during the 1960s, the model features relief decoration and handcrafted details typical of Aldo Londis ceramic design language.

Bio:
Aldo Londi (1911-2003) was an Italian ceramic artist and designer who served as artistic director of Bitossi in Montelupo Fiorentino from 1946 onwards. He created some of the companys most iconic series and is especially renowned for his vibrant blue glazes, geometric decoration, and handcrafted stoneware objects. His work is regarded as one of the most important contributions to twentieth-century Italian art ceramics.
