Charming prism chandelier from the 1880s for candles
Height 80 cm.
Diameter 50 cm.
Beautiful chandelier from the late 1800s with an unusual combination of crystals.
Its bottom is with square prisms bound like a bowl with many hanging icicles from. Around sits a wreath also with square prisms and icicles.
It has 4 fixed brass arms with cut pipe beads separated by round beads that are assembled at the top in a metal wreath that has a wreath with prisms and a hanging crystal with beads.
To each arm runs a chain with elongated pointed prisms.
In the middle hangs a large ground prism, a spruce cone
Many of the prisms have a fine old purple tinge - very charming.
The chandelier is in fine original condition with patina. It is almost impossible to avoid chips on square prisms.
