Unusually detailed miniature from the late 1700s.
The portrait shows a nobleman dressed in a classic jacket in yellow, white updo hair gathered in a black ribbon. Around his neck he wears an order, a red Maltese cross in a yellow ribbon.
The picture is behind glass in gilded brass frame.
The small size of the image and its backside indicate that this was intended to hang in a chain on the chest or around the neck as a piece of jewelry.
A piece of paper is placed on the back with indistinct writing.
The picture is in good condition.
